Ph.D. in Aquaculture Student conducts dissertation research at Maejo University Thailand
Mr. Ricardo A. De Guzman, a Ph.D. in Aquaculture student from the Institute of Graduate Studies, Aquaculture Program, of Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has started his dissertation research as an exchange student at Maejo University (MJU) in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Mr. De Guzman was formally welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aphinun Suvarnaraksha, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries Technology and Aquatic Resources at Maejo University, alongside faculty members Associate Professor Dr. Chitmanat Chanagun, and Dr. Khajornkiat Srinuansom.
His study, titled “pH-Inactivated Vaccine Against Aeromonas hydrophila in Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus L.): Optimization, Efficacy, Histopathology, and Immune Response” aims to develop and evaluate a pH-inactivated vaccine designed to improve disease resistance in Nile Tilapia. This research addresses critical challenges in aquaculture productivity and fish health. Furthermore, the initiative was made possible through the guidance of Dr. Alvin T. Reyes, Chair of the Advisory Committee.
The faculty of Fisheries Technology and Aquatic Resources is a distinguished division of Maejo University, offering comprehensive programs aimed at advancing knowledge and skills in fisheries and aquatic resources including the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries, Bachelor of Science in Fisheries Management Innovation, Master of Science in Fisheries Technology and Aquatic Resources, and Doctor of Philosophy in Fisheries Technology and Water Resources.
