Application for CLSU Admission

All international students who wish to study at Central Luzon State University (CLSU) must submit their Application Dossier three (3) months before their prospect First Semester:

  • Application Form (OAD Form 131)
  • Personal Statement;
  • Resume / Curriculum Vitae
  • Letters of Recommendation
  • Personal History Statement (PHS Revised 1998) – Six copies of filled-out PHS form with student’s signature, left and right thumbprints, and a 2×2 inch photograph on a plain white background taken not more than six months before submission;
  • Notarized Affidavit of Support from Parents – proof of adequate financial support (Bank Certificate). Duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post, Embassy or Consulate in the applicant’s country of origin or legal residence;
  • Police Clearance – issued by the National Police Office or a certification from an appropriate government agency that the applicant has neither been convicted of a crime nor has any pending criminal case against him. Duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post, Embassy or Consulate in the applicant’s country of origin or legal residence;
  • Passport – with at least six months before expiry upon arrival. Photocopy of passport pages where name, photo, birthdate, and birthplace appear;
  • Medical Fitness Certificate – including International Certificate of Vaccination. Duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post, Embassy, or Consulate in the Applicant’s country of origin;
  • Certificate of Proficiency in English – Students may present the official result of a standardized English test eg. IETLS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL iBT score of 80 or equivalent. Likewise, the CLSU Department of English and Humanities can evaluate students for English proficiency for a fee Php 500.00 for those who come from countries or schools where English is not the medium of instruction. If not proficient, include an English subject as bridging course.
  • Optional Requirement: NICA Clearance – For applicants from countries identified by the Philippine’ Department of National Defense (DND) and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) as areas of interest of terrorism incidents, additional provisions such as NICA Clearance may apply to ensure community safety and compliance with government directives.

Admission Decision

  • The Office of Admissons will communicate the result of the evaluation to the applicant via email within 14 working days after the evaluation results are released.
  • The Office of Admission will issue a Notice of Admission (Apostilled by DFA processed by IAO), schedule of fees, enrollment schedule, and endorse the student who passed the evaluation to the International Affairs Office for pre-arrival preparation.
  • All the original above-mentioned documentary requirements should be submitted to the Office of Admissions during their enrollment schedule.
  • The Office of Admissions will notify also the concerned department/college regarding the admission of a foreign students.

Coordination with the International Affairs Office

  • All International Academic concerns will be coordinated by IAO Director’s Office.
  • The mobility and Intercultural Exchange Unit will coordinate the virtual pre-arrival and the assignment of an international student adviser.
  • The international Affairs Office (IAO), through its Events and Services Unit, will assist with transportation and accommodation arrangements.
  • All incoming international students will initially be provided free accommodation at either the CLSU Manila Office or on-campus, depending on the current health situation in coordination with the DOH and/or DOI.
  • Upon arrival on campus, all international students will reside temporarily at the CLSU Guest House while waiting to undergo a physical examination by the university physician. Once cleared, students can proceed with the enrollment process.

Enrollment Procedure

  • The students are required to report to the Office of Admissions (OAD) on their assigned schedule.
  • The student should submit the following original documents to the Office of Admissions during enrollment:
    • Original copy of all emailed scanned documents will be submitted for authentication and validation.
    • 3 copies of 2×2 in colored picture with white background with applicant’s name on the photo, formatted as follows: SURNAME, FIRSTNAME, MIDDLE INITIAL.
  • After requirement verification, the Admission Officer will issue an admission slip.
    • The foreign student will proceed to IAO to assist in their lodging arrangements, where the IAO will sign the admission slip.
    • The student will undergo a medical check-up at the CLSU Infirmary.
    • The student will submit the signed admission slip at the Office of Admissions.
  • The Office of Admissions will process the student’s enrollment. Upon completion, the student will receive an email containing the following information:
