The Central Luzon State University

is a public higher education institution located in the Science City of Munoz in the northern part of the Philippines. It is the seat of the Munoz Science Community composed of different national research and development agencies headquartered in the area.

The University offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs

in residential and distance education modes. There are nine colleges: sciences, arts and social sciences, education, business administration and accountancy, engineering, home science and industry, veterinary science and medicine, agriculture, and fisheries.

The university has a number of research institutes including

the Philippine- Sino Center for Agricultural Technology, Land and Water Resources Management Center, Small Ruminant Center, Ramon Magsaysay-Center for Agricultural Resources and Environmental Studies, Freshwater Aquaculture Center, Nanotechnology R&D Facility, Institute for Climate Change and Environmental Management, Center for Hydroponics and Aquaponics Technology, Philippine Carabao Center at CLSU, and the Center for Tropical Mushroom Research and Development. Throughout the year, students and staff carry out innovative research projects in these institutes. Collectively, the university staff are among the top recipients of state research grants.

as the pioneering agricultural boarding school throughout the Philippine archipelago on a 658-hectare reservation site by the American Civil Government, the institution blossomed into an agricultural college in 1952, and ultimately into a comprehensive university in 1964.

The university campus is officially declared as a Cultural Property of the Philippines due to its high historical, cultural, academic, and agricultural importance to the nation.
