CHSI-DFST Head Joins as Speaker on Food Consumer Behaviour at the ICFSE 2025 in Indonesia
Dr. Joel G. Juvinal, Head of the Department of Food Science and Technology (DFST) of the College of Home Science and Industry (CHSI) at Central Luzon State University (CLSU), served as a Plenary Speaker and Advisory Board Committee Member during the 5th International Conference on Food Science and Engineering (ICFSE) 2025 held on October 15–16 at Grand Mercure Solo Baru, Surakarta, Indonesia.
As a partner university of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Indonesia, Dr. Juvinal represented CLSU and was invited as one of the four selected experts in the plenary session, where he presented the topic “Recent Update on Food Consumer Behaviour” alongside co-speakers from Thailand, Taiwan, and Malaysia, representing other partner universities of UNS.
The ICFSE, a biennial conference organized by the Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, UNS, aims to foster collaboration among scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and industry leaders in addressing the challenges of global food systems.
With the theme “Shaping the Future of Sustainable Food Systems Through Innovation in Food Science and Engineering,” the 2025 conference brought together experts from partner institutions including Universiti Putra Malaysia, National Chung Hsing University, Kasetsart University, and CLSU.
