CLSU-AIT Strengthens Partnership through a Virtual Scholarship Information Session
The International Affairs Office (IAO) of Central Luzon State University (CLSU), in collaboration with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand, successfully hosted the “CLSU-AIT Virtual Scholarship Info-Session 2026” on March 27, 2026 via Zoom.
The virtual collaborative event aims to introduce AIT and CLSUs academic programs and research strengths, present available scholarships, assistantships, and fellowship schemes, and guide participants through admission requirements and application procedures; explore potential areas of collaboration between CLSU and AIT, encourage faculty-level engagement in joint research, co-supervision, and funded projects, and strengthen institutional linkage between the two institutions.
Dr. Parsons N. Hail, Director of IAO, formally opened the session with a program overview. He explained that the initiative aims to help CLSU students, faculty, and staff explore scholarships, fellowships, international collaborations, exchange opportunities, admission procedures, and application strategies at AIT.
Dr. Hayat Ullah, Senior Research Specialist, highlighted academic and research collaborations, as well as specific scholarship opportunities available to the CLSU community. He detailed the admission process, program offerings, and scholarship benefits. Dr. Ullah also expressed his appreciation to CLSU for organizing the session and for continuously strengthening the partnership between the two institutions.
Meanwhile, Dr. Alona T. Badua, Dean of the Institute of Graduate Studies (IGS), provided a brief history of the IGS and shared its list of graduate program offerings. She emphasized the vital role these programs play in the university’s internationalization initiatives.
The session was also attended by Dean Prof. Anil Kumar Anal, Prof. Avishek Datta, and Dr. Muhammad Yaseen from AIT; Dr. Ella Joy A. Ponce, IAO Chief of the Engagement and Collaboration Division; and Dr. Rea Mae C. Templonuevo, Acting Dean of the College of Fisheries, alongside faculty, staff, and students from various departments and units.
