CLSU CCCEM Peace Corp Volunteer concluded a 7-month service
Dr. Banalata Sen, a UC Peace Corp Response Volunteer and an Environmental Education Specialist from North Carolina, USA, one of the eight members of Batch 55 United States Peace Corps Response Volunteers concluded her 7-month long service at Central Luzon State University through its host unit, the Center for Climate Change and Environmental Management on February 5, 2026.
The closing ceremony was attended by the Director of CLSU – Center for Climate Change and Environmental Management – CCCEM (CCCEM) Dr. Gella Patria L. Abella, Director of International Affairs Office (IAO), Dr. Parsons N. Hail, along with the faculty and staff of CCCEM and IAO, who gathered to express their gratitude for Dr. Sen’s professional contributions specifically in the field of environmental health and protection through dialogue and exchange with various sectors not only within the CLSU and Science City of Munoz community but also in different parts of the region. Moreover, the cultural exchange she fostered during her stay in the university made an impact on the people she has worked with.
Colleagues from CCCEM described Dr. Sen in a way where she deeply touched their lives and inspired a collective drive for excellence. She became more than a colleague; she was a mentor whose return is already eagerly anticipated. By seamlessly weaving her global perspective into the fabric of our local mission, she has left CLSU with a fortified foundation for climate action and a legacy of sustainability that will endure long after her departure.
