The International Affairs Office (IAO) of Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through the Global Student Ambassadors (GSA), hosted the third episode of the “Alitaptap Series” on January 10, 2025. This virtual event was held in collaboration with the Earthmates Community and featured its third set of speakers, Millenia Dzikra Az Zahra from the Satya Terra Bhinneka University, Medan, Indonesia and Amarul Azmi from the Monash Business School, Australia.

Ms. Zahra is the founder of Earthmates Community, a youth-led community that advocates for environmental justice and sustainability action. She is also an active volunteer and has exposure in different International Academic Programs. While Mr. Aamarul specializes in sustainable business and innovation, he explores how organizations can embed environmental, social, and economic considerations into strategy.

Their presentation in this episode, titled "Sumatra-Aceh Climate Future: Unpacking Root Causes and Designing Sustainable Solutions," contains the background and purpose of the organization, Impacts of the 2025 Sumatra-Aceh Floods & Landslides, Local stories in a Global Climate Crisis, and what actions they are planning to do in the future.

The event was attended by members of the Global Student Ambassadors, students from Central Luzon State University (CLSU), University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD), San Jose City National High School, (SJCNHS) and International students from Universitas Pelita Harapan, Indonesia (UPH).

The “Alitaptap Series” is a virtual conversation platform that offers young people from around the world a vibrant space to exchange ideas, share diverse viewpoints, and connect across cultures, which significantly helps in promoting internationalization.
