The CLSU International Affairs Office (IAO) held a special lecture on the International Studies Program in celebration of the university’s founding anniversary on April 12, 2023, at the Academic Affairs Amphitheatre.

Dr. Elaine S. Tolentino, Associate Professor in the Department of International Studies at the De La Salle University, Manila delivered a special talk on the possibilities and challenges involved in establishing an international studies program.

An opportunity for a question-and-answer session followed the talk providing attendees the chance to ask questions and seek advice on establishing a program in international studies.

Dr. Jay C. Santos, Dean of the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), added his two cents, mentioning "In two to three years' time, our expectation is that the Department of International Studies will be one of the strongest departments in the college." as his prenotion on the soon to be program and department in CASS.

The lecture-discussion was done in cooperation with the CLSU IAO, which is in line with the CLSU's goal of being the first institution in the North and Central Luzon region to offer a degree program in international studies through the College of Arts and Social Sciences.
