Dr. Ella Joy Avellanoza-Ponce, Chief of Engagement and Collaboration Division of the International Affairs Office and faculty member of the Department of Global Studies, Central Luzon State University (CLSU), presented her paper at the 122nd American Political Science Association (APSA) Annual Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

As a featured author, Dr. Ponce presented her paper, “Perceived Threats and the Dynamics of Alignment in Southeast Asia,” which was critically discussed by Dr. Nina McMurry to enhance its analytical and empirical contributions.

The APSA Annual Meeting is a prestigious conference drawing experts from around the world on topics which deepen our understanding of politics, democracy, and citizenship. APSA brings together political scientists from all fields of inquiry, regions, and occupational endeavors within and outside the academy to advance political science research and education globally.
