IAO Hosts Day 1 of Annual Study Abroad Fair Featuring Alumni Experiences and International Students during SIKAD 2026
The International Affairs Office (IAO), through its Mobility and Intercultural Exchange Division, hosted the first day of its annual Study Abroad Fair as part of “Sinag ng Kalinangan, Agapay at Dalubhasaan” (SIKAD) 2026 today, June 9, 2026.
The event highlighted the inspiring journeys of alumni from the Colleges of Agriculture, Business and Accountancy, Education, Engineering, and Science who have participated in student exchange and international mobility programs. Adding global flavor to the event, International Students from Africa prepared their local cuisine for the students and shared cultural trivias.
Booths were set up at the International Affairs Office Grounds, where the alumni showcased information sheets, products, and merchandise from their host universities and organizations.
To further immerse attendees in global perspectives, the alumni facilitated interactive discussions, encouraging students to explore study abroad opportunities and intercultural learning.
As part of the experience, students were also given a guided tour of the International Affairs Office and Hannah W. Tibbs Writers’ Studio, where they learned about the office's brief history, core functions, services, and continuous initiatives toward internationalization.
The Study Abroad Fair will resume tomorrow, June 10, 2026 from 7:30-11:30 AM to accommodate first-year students registered in the YAPAK: Educational Tour. Walk-ins are also highly welcome to and explore the exhibits at the International Affairs Office.
